Separate product content into tabs
Product tabs help customers find the information they're looking for!
We're excited to announce that product tabs have been released for AMP!
Activating product tabs:
- Go into your AMP theme editor and click on "Theme Settings".
- Scroll down to "Product tabs" to open the settings for tabbed product data
How product tabs work:
Product tabs can separate product description details based on headings, such as
H1, H2, H3,
or H4
headings. For example, if you have a product description with two headings, namely "Product Information" and "Additional Information", you can showcase these two sections within separate tabs, such as in the screenshot above.Product tabs can also showcase
Global tabs
, which pull data from an existing Shopify Page. Global tabs appear on all
product pages.Product tabs are available on Newly Created Themes

A More Robust AMP Editor
Better "Custom HTML" sections
Starting today, when you enter HTML into the AMP editor, into one of the
Custom HTML
sections, we will convert it into valid AMP HTML on-the-fly. 
This allows you to create more robust AMP pages and not worry about AMP validation errors along the way. Anything you type into the HTML sections will be instantly transformed into AMP HTML, and previewable before saving. Create beautiful looking AMP pages using Custom HTML with images, videos, and more, and have the peace of mind that your instant-loading AMP pages will remain valid with Google.
Better "Richtext" editing (new themes)
Richtext sections now allow for easily inputting text that is formatted with colors, alignments, headings, and links.
This makes it much easier to style your AMP pages, adding callout text, blockquotes, links, and more, to make sure your message stands out to potential customers.
Add a dynamic FAQ to your Home or Product pages on AMP
We've now added a dynamic FAQ section available to your Home or Product pages. Create separate FAQs for different products, product types, or product tags. FAQs show in a pleasant accordion-style format.
How to add an FAQ
1) Within the AMP editor, click "Add section" from the Home or Product pages.
2) From the list of available sections, search for the "Frequently Asked Questions" section.
3) List your FAQs and style the questions and answers easily. Add HTML as part of your FAQ answer and we'll automatically convert that into AMP HTML.
